The Thanks To Scandinavia reception in New York in October was very nice and we look back on it with joy. It was such a treat to meet and talk with Victor Borge, a Great Dane—not to forget the rest of the party.

We are grateful that we got the opportunity to be part of this exchange program due to Thanks To Scandinavia Foundation. It was a rewarding experience and we are sure, judging by all the hospitality we have received, that the future will bring prosperous relationship between Beth Israel Medical Center and Bispebjerg Hospital.

The study visit gave us an opportunity to observe and compare our different practices and gain an insight into another nursing functions. It was amazing to see the different ways in organizing patient care and implementing standards for nursing.

We are now back in Denmark enriched with many favorable impressions that in some ways give us a broader understanding of our nursing here as well.

Victor Borge expressed in his lovely speech based on his own experience that when you once have been in the States it will be an experience for lifetime. After our visit at Beth Israel Medical Center we certainly acknowledge that it is true.

Yours,
