Now, back in Denmark, it is payback time for our work at the New School in New York—we write our final papers and our theses without too much distress, and we feel extremely well-grounded, theoretically. We have asked ourselves (many times) whether our stay in New York was really worth the effort, but at this point there is no doubt! All the images of New York, this mythic city, expand our minds from within; the encounters with the intellectual excellency of our professors serve as ideals to strive for; and our friendships and commitments make us search the papers for cheap plane tickets to New York next month.
