I would once again like to extend my deepest thanks for
your continuing support of my studies here. Last semester’s
classes proved to be challenging indeed, and I have the
feeling that my current classes will be so too. I’m currently
enrolled in the following courses: General Anthropology,
Pre Civil War History, Introduction to Sociology, and
Political Science: Politics in America. I have only had
a few lessons so far, but I’m very satisfied with the
instructors and the course material.
This last semester has been a very successful one. Not
only has my English developed noticeably, but it seems
as if I’ve gained more personal experience and independence
during these last few months than any other part of my
life. Coming by yourself to a different country does provide
a great challenge, which forces you to take more responsibility.
I visited New York over Christmas and New Year’s, which
not only allowed me to experience one of the most spectacular
cities in the world along with its diverse and intensive
atmosphere, but also to visit my family, who came to visit
me there. I spent the remainder of the break with my girlfriend
and her family in Tulsa, a stay that really reminded me
of how diversified this country actually is.
I would once again like to thank you and Thanks To Scandinavia
for giving me the opportunity to develop my academic as
well as personal skills, and for helping other students
to gain invaluable experiences by making studying abroad
possible.
