Danes Worldwide presents the movie “A Day in October” at the Scandinavian Living Center, 206 Waltham Street, West Newton in commemoration of the 60th anniversary of the rescue of 7000 Jews from Nazi occupied Denmark in October, 1943. Introductory speaker is Leo Goldberger, Ph.D, editor of “Rescue of Danish Jews: Moral Courage Under Stress,” who highlights his personal escape. Jacob Friis, Honorary Consul to Denmark in Boston, also speaks.
The not-for-profit Scandinavian Living Center is a small and welcoming assisted living community open to all nationalities. Admission and refreshments are free but advance reservations are recommended due to space limitations. Please call (617)527-6566 for reservations and further information.
